What Is It — Psychological Assessment — Manovritti

What is psychological assessment?

Clarity before
the path forward.

A psychological assessment is a structured clinical evaluation conducted by an RCI-registered psychologist. Using validated tests and clinical interviews, it measures cognitive ability, personality, emotional functioning, and specific concerns like ADHD, learning disabilities, autism spectrum traits, or neuropsychological function.

The result is a detailed written report that names what is happening, explains why, and recommends the most appropriate support. This gives clarity to families, schools, employers, doctors, and courts — all of whom may need a professional clinical opinion.

At Manovritti, all assessments are conducted by RCI-registered clinical psychologists and are accepted by CBSE/ICSE schools, Delhi High Court, AIIMS, government employers, and most hospitals and disability boards.

Is this right for you?

A psychological assessment
may be right if...

Assessments are not just for children. Adults benefit from clinical clarity too — especially when patterns, struggles, or questions have persisted without a clear answer.

Your child is struggling at school and teachers have suggested testing — but no one has given you a clear picture yet.

You or someone you know has always suspected ADHD, autism, or a learning difficulty but has never been formally evaluated.

A school, employer, or court requires a certified psychological report for admission, accommodation, or legal purposes.

Your child has been given a label — but you want to understand what it actually means and what the right support looks like.

You are an adult who has struggled with focus, learning, or emotional regulation your whole life and want to understand why.

Therapy is not progressing and your therapist wants a clearer picture of what is underlying your difficulties.

You need a disability certificate or support letter for academic, employment, or government purposes.

Memory, attention, or executive function has changed noticeably and you want a clinical baseline and evaluation.

Journey — Psychological Assessment — Manovritti

What to expect

The assessment
process.

A psychological assessment is structured and systematic — here is exactly what to expect from start to finish.

1

Step 1

Pre-assessment consultation

A clinical interview with the psychologist to understand your concerns, history, and what you need the assessment for. This shapes which tests will be used.

30–45 minutes · No tests yet
2

Step 2

Standardised testing

You or your child complete a series of validated tests — cognitive, emotional, behavioural, or neuropsychological depending on the referral question. Sessions are structured and paced appropriately.

2–4 hours across 1–2 sessions
3

Step 3

Report preparation

The psychologist scores, interprets, and integrates the results into a detailed written report — including findings, diagnosis (if applicable), and specific recommendations.

5–7 working days
4

Step 4

Feedback session

A dedicated session to walk through the report with you — explaining findings in plain language, answering questions, and discussing next steps for support.

No question is too small

Testimonial — Psychological Assessment — Manovritti

My son was 10 when we finally had him assessed. He had been struggling for years and every teacher had a different opinion. The assessment gave us a clear diagnosis, a detailed report, and — for the first time — a concrete plan. The school finally understood what he needed.

FAQ

Questions about psychological assessment

These are the questions we hear most before a first session. If yours isn't here, we're a message away.

Still have a question?

Message us on WhatsApp — Mon–Sun, 9 AM–7 PM.

01

What types of assessment do you conduct?

We conduct IQ and cognitive assessments, ADHD evaluations, learning disability assessments (dyslexia, dyscalculia), autism spectrum screening, neuropsychological assessments, personality assessments, and disability certification evaluations.
02

Is the report legally valid and accepted by courts and schools?

Yes. Our assessments are conducted by RCI-registered clinical psychologists and are accepted by CBSE/ICSE schools, Delhi High Court, government employers, AIIMS, and most hospitals for diagnostic, legal, and disability certification purposes.
03

How long does the assessment take?

This depends on what is being assessed. Most assessments involve 2–4 hours of testing across one or two sessions, plus a pre-assessment consultation and a feedback session. The full process typically takes 2–3 weeks from start to report.
04

Can the assessment be done online?

Most standardised psychological assessments require in-person attendance — the tools and conditions need to be controlled for results to be valid and defensible. We do not offer online assessments.
05

What happens after the assessment?

You receive a detailed written report and a feedback session to walk through it. The report includes specific recommendations — therapy, school accommodations, medical referrals, or other support. If follow-up therapy is needed, we can provide it in-house.
